Lower Highlands (LoHi) Neighborhood in Denver Colorado

The Lower Highlands, LoHi, is part of the larger Highlands section of Denver and is arguably the best of all worlds when it comes to real estate. LoHi has mountain and city views, convenience to the city’s main thoroughfares, small boutiques and a ton of restaurants and bars, many of them with great rooftop setups. 

Weekends in the highlands are very lively with a great brunch scene (Root Down, Ash’Kara, Duo to name a few) and plenty of upscale cocktail and/or brewpub options (Linger, Williams and Graham, Recess Beer Garden, etc. etc. etc.) Although there is a lot of street parking in this part of town, it fills up fast on the weekends and often using the restaurant or bar’s valet is the way to go. 

If you ever for some reason decide you want to leave this foodie, shopping heaven that is bursting with charm and energy, it is easy to jump on I-25 (LoHi is located just west of I-25 from downtown)— or to walk over the Highland Arch Bridge to get to downtown. This area is ideal for city slickers who want to feel part of a community while not needing to own a car – you can walk to endless restaurants, bars and Union Station to catch the Light Rail.

Renovated craftsman bungalows, late 1800 victorians sprinkled amongst tightly packed low-rise complexes (often loft style) and modern townhomes make up the housing supply in LoHi.
